I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz lately about the upcoming release of The Lorax which is an adaption of the children’s book by Dr. Seuss of the same name. Back in 2006, during my undergrad, I wrote a paper applying Derrida‘s deconstruction theory to this same story, and I thought that it might be of interest to someone. Not sure who… I mean, there’s not a much more esoteric topic than Derrida, or deconstruction for that matter, sooo. Well. Hmm. I think it’s fascinating anyway. So enjoy!
